I can not believe it is February already! January went by so fast and was filled with excitement from completing the Goofy Challenge, being sick, and then just taking time to get myself in order. Now that it is February, I am so relieved that I now have a workout plan in place and am on the Whole 30 bandwagon again.
This was a good week, Monday started off with a snowstorm and no school for the kids! Yea! The roads were really bad and I did not want to spend 2 hours trying to drive into work only to end up in a ditch, so I worked at home. I am so lucky to be able to do that when the need arrises!
Thursday was the start to my second round of Whole 30 and the first day went great, actually this entire week did. There is something about announcing a commitment on my blog that makes it stick. You guys are so supportive, and I love, and appreciate all of the comments and motivation!
Friday is always fun as that is when my Door to Door Organics order arrives! Yep, I can grocery shop for fresh, organic food right from my home or work and have it delivered once a week with no extra fees. Not only is the produce fresher and lasts longer, I find I spend much less money and eliminate a lot of the impulses. We also get our organic milk, meat and eggs too! Interested? Send me your email address to runfastmama (at) gmail.com and you can get 50% off your first box. Check the Door to Door Organic’s website to make sure they deliver in your area.
Look at all this fresh produce! The fridge is just as full!
I had another fun delivery on Saturday morning! My Erin Condren 2013 Life Planner that I ordered a week and a half ago. I usually use two planners plus my phone. One for running, a second for workouts, and then my phone. It can get to be a pain. I saw the Erin Condren planner on Facebook and I just had to have it! There are monthly pages, weekly pages, a note area, a pocket, stickers. It is cool beans! I am a total paper nerd! I love to write things down and see my accomplishments visually on paper, in my own writing. To me, there is so much more satisfaction in that then seeing them on a computer screen. Jealous and want your own? I hear if you use code XOXO20 for $20 off, you can pick up the March-December 2013 Life Planner for $30 to try out. Code ends 2/28/13.
I had such a relaxing time combining all of the calendars into one central location! The rest of the day was spent at Whole Foods, took the kids to Mathnasium, and editing and sorting a few hundred photos for Hubby’s business.
Today started with an awesome run with my BFF! I was so glad she agreed to meet me this morning when I sent her a text last night. I had 7 miles on the schedule today and just did not feel like doing them on the treadmill, even though it was only 9F outside! We rocked the run and got the 7 done in 1:08. That is right around what my first 10K time was! Love seeing improvement!
The rest of the day will be prepping food for our friend’s Superbowl party tonight. So with that, I give you my workout plan for the week as well as the actual accomplishments.
I am pretty happy, actually really happy, with how everything turned out. Granted I didn’t get the full 3 miles in on Tuesday, but hey, that’s ok. The soreness from Insanity is starting to decrease, perhaps because I am remembering to wear my compression tights right after and through out the day. I am also on Day 3 of Whole30 now and doing great with it!
Well, got to run and make some baked sweet potato chips, stuffed sweet potatoes and some wings for Hubby! I am bringing baked sweet potato chips with guacamole, stuffed sweet potatoes – think of the loaded potatoes in restaurants. Mine will have the sweet potato mixed with a bit of coconut oil and topped with guacamole. The ones I am making for everyone else will be topped with a bit of organic chili, sour cream and cheese and a bit of guacamole. Monkey wants celery with sun butter, and I am also baking some wings for Hubby that I got from Whole Foods yesterday with blue cheese dressing.
Have a great day!
What is on your menu for Superbowl tonight?
Disclaimer: I am an Energy Bits Ambassador and love my BITS. As far as Door to Door Organics and Erin Condren go, I am just a happy customer who wants to share what I love with my readers. Although, if they want to give me goods to do an official review I would LOVE it!
